Canonical JSON

Use canonical JSON for documented accounts, balances, entries, details, references, and validation results. It is easier to consume but does not claim to model every proprietary node.

Preservation JSON

Use preservation-aware JSON when source paths, unknown nodes, lexical XML, and original structure matter for audit or further interpretation.

Version your consumer

CAMT Tools JSON is an application profile, not an ISO message definition. Consumers should check formatVersion and export metadata.
