How to Validate CAMT XML in Layers

Separate XML safety, namespace, XSD, semantic, reconciliation, profile, and compatibility evidence.

One valid badge is not enough

Well-formed XML can still use an unsupported namespace, violate an XSD, fail a financial rule, or be unacceptable to a particular importer.

Unavailable is a valid result

If the exact reviewed XSD is not present, report that layer as unavailable. Do not substitute another version or imply schema validity from successful parsing.

Keep evidence attached

Diagnostics should carry stable codes, severity, source paths or locations, and a concise explanation that does not copy sensitive values into telemetry.
